As you are likely aware RMT’s and most other healthcare providers are no longer under pandemic guidelines from the Ministry of Health. However please know that I am still taking precautions to keep my patients safe. My current procedures are:
- All patients are asked to stay home if they have any symptoms. Even if you just have a cold please do not attend the clinic if you are ill.
- Mask wearing is no longer required. However, if you arrive in a mask, I will respect your lead and wear a mask during your treatment as well.
- Hand sanitizer is available for patient use throughout the clinic.
- I will continue to prioritize my own hand washing. I wash before and after every massage treatment, I give and at other key intervals throughout the day.
- All high touch points are sanitized between patients (light switches, door knobs, etc.).
- All equipment is disinfected after use (massage table, massage stool, massage cups, etc.)
- The disinfectant used is approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH) for infection control. The MOH has determined its efficacy for eliminating viruses, fungus and bacteria.
- Each patient receives freshly laundered linens. All sheets, blankets, pillow cases, face rest covers, etc. are laundered after every use.
- An air purifier is run in the clinic.
- Equipment is inspected monthly. If anything has signs of wear it is fixed or replaced. This ensures there are no rips or tears germs can hide in.
- I continue to monitor local infection rates. Should it make sense to revert back to stricter restrictions I will do so.
- I am currently triple vaccinated against covid and plan on getting the OMICON vaccination once it becomes available in the fall.
- All of my other vaccinations are kept up to date as well including the yearly flu shot, Hepatitis, Tetanus, MMR, etc.
